Overview:

The successful candidate will have several years of specialty retail experience in a leadership role as a District Team Leader (District Manager). With a strong emphasis on guest service, products and visual presentation, the District Team Leader must be an effective problem solver and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. The District Team Leader is responsible for building and retaining a high-performing and diverse team of Boutique Team Leaders as well as leading a group of Team Members. Through strategizing, coaching, and accountability the District Team Leader must motivate their team to provide superior customer service and in turn maximize sales. The candidate must have an understanding of business drivers, how to maximize profitability, and have the ability to ensure visual and operational standards are met consistently within the district.

District Team Leader candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule according to needs of the business to ensure district objectives including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:

Leadership:

  • Leads and delivers our francesca’s® brand vision and strategic objectives with all Team Members and ensures district strategies are performed in a manner consistent with the brand standards
  • Drives business results by analyzing business trends, maximizing daily sales plans, managing expenses and improving metrics through the execution of francesca’s® training programs, sales floor leadership, and continuous coaching on and off the sales floor
  • Provides consistent developmental feedback that empowers and motivates our team and fosters a team environment by using effective communication skills
  • Plans, delegates and follows up on expected tasks, assignments and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met
  • Acts as a liaison between the Boutique Team, Regional Director, Human Resources and Boutique Operations
  • Fosters a positive work environment that encourages feedback, involvement and ultimately engagement

People/Talent:

  • Attracts, recruits, and retains talent leaders and team members who are guest focused and demonstrate the ability to drive sales
  • Responsible for developing a succession plan within the district to prepare for talent needs while minimizing turnover
  • Leads, develops and coaches team leaders and members to reach their fullest potential and prepare them for the next level of responsibility by utilizing company tools
  • Evaluates and reacts to performance issues fairly, timely and consistently in accordance with our expected practices
  • Establishes open, candid and trusting professional relationships with their team members
  • Maintains a high degree of personal integrity and hires a team with the same values

Guest Experience:

  • Possess the ability to lead by example and deliver “Our francesca’s® Promise” to the sales team and all guests within all boutiques in the district
  • Creates and reinforces a proactive guest centric selling culture that focuses on building a competent and confident team, in order to build a loyal guest following through clear and positive communication
  • Prepares boutique teams to balance guest experience with necessary operational tasks

Visual Merchandising:

  • Maintains visually inspiring boutiques that are compelling to guests by developing visual decision making skills, leading consistent boutique visits and communicating effectively to our visual standards
  • Utilizes and delivers our visual brand standards to present our unique product mix offering
  • Demonstrates a passion for fashion by understanding trends

Operations:

  • Understands and enforces all company policies and procedures throughout the district in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ensures scheduling of team members is completed in order to deliver expected level of guest service and maximize sales potential
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and ensures operational controls are consistently performed
  • Understands retail sales and the relationship to inventory levels, with the ability to communicate needs directly to the merchandise planning team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a district or market in specialty retail required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related field preferred
  • Demonstrates leadership and integrity in all interactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong merchandising and visual skills
  • Excellent organization skills; ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently
  • Proactive and creative problem solving ability
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to consistently travel to boutiques within a geographical area
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting and climbing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
