Purpose of the Position:
To implement and maintain a quality system in order to promote and control the quality of manufacturing for the CKD/SKD packing operation to fulfill the internal and external customer expectations and thereby enable MBUSI and the CKD/SKD production locations to meet business targets.
To represent MBUSI’s interest in the analysis, prioritization, investigation, and ultimate resolution of product and parts concern throughout the product life cycle of the CKD/SKD products.

Essential Functions: (List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)

Assures customer satisfaction for both our internal and external customers by maintaining and improving both system and CKD/SKD kit quality.

Implements and maintains “Quality Built in at the Process” and Continuous Improvement activities throughout CKD/SKD relevant operations by utilizing KPI’s and quality solving tools.

Streamlines the quality process by aligning the quality feedback from external service providers, Daimler AG/IPB or CKD/SKD production locations with the MBUSI internal quality group to improve future products.

Uses various problem solving tool to track and resolve complaint issue from internal and external customers:
Zeus System / 5-Why: 8D. Review and analyze customer complaint issues. Track and review open topics of customer concerns while ensuring conformity to Mercedes Benz compliance and quality standards.

Investigate and eliminate causes of systematic quality problems within the SKD/CKD business unit and follow up on corrective actions to verify countermeasure implementation.

Performs tasks associated with customer complaint processes and attains the quality goals of the organization.

Reviews topic statistical trends and evaluates progress to determine next steps for problem resolution.

Reports quality activities at MBUSI for external and internal sensors and tracks progress of topics.

Ensures relevant quality feedback from plant 138 (PDR’s, VIS updates, Sorting activities, etc.) is communicated to associated CKD/SKD partners at external service providers, Daimler AG/IPB or CKD/SKD production locations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics; preferably with an automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or supplier or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Management with emphasis on launch/changeover activities

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Travel internationally and to suppliers.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy.
Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain strong cooperative working relationships within the group and across the organization.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong Project Management Skills
Preferred Skills: SAP Knowledge, GSS+ Knowledge, PHI Knowledge, DIALOG Knowledge, Implementation of Quality tools
