Direct Sales Representative (NY and NJ)

We are seeking to add an energetic, assertive, self-starter with a positive attitude to join our team as a Direct Sales Representative working in the NY and NJ territory. This individual will be responsible for penetrating markets and selling PlayPower brands to existing customers, as well as developing new relationships with prospective customers.
Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements strategic plans for key accounts, market segments, and/or business partners to overachieve sales goals.
  • Sells and builds new relationships with large companies/chains/potential customers to gain market share and develop new avenues for product distribution.
  • Monitors, evaluates and forms attack plans regarding the activities and products of the competition.
  • Responsible for participating and providing support to trade shows, sales meetings and other sales-related functions as required.
  • Prepares and maintains required prospect lists, forecasts and sales reports.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Five to ten years of related experience in B-2-B sales and business development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have a proven track record of acquiring large accounts with solid business development.
  • Demonstrated success with the development of sales plans to optimize sales growth within a territory.
  • Strong customer /consumer orientation. Background or experience working in the recreation industry, the bid process, the construction industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience selling to cities, counties, local municipalities, schools, and/or real estate developers is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate strong presentation and selling skills.
  • Must be a road warrior.
