Sales - Regional Sales Manager - Western US Region Job Opening

DESCRIPTION: The Regional Sales Manager for the Western US Region is responsible for leading the sales team in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with manufacturer’s representatives and customers in order to reach and exceed sales objectives.

JOB DUTIES:

• Select, develop, and lead a professional sales team to meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue growth
• Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in large accounts
• Perform all standard sales activities for assigned accounts in order to increase sales and profits in assigned account base
• Meet with manufacturer’s representatives and key customers to promote sales, gain a better understanding of customer needs and heighten visibility within the market
• Assist the Inside Sales staff with direction and quotations
• Resolve all customer and product matters related to the sales staff in conjunction with the Inside Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Logistics and Technical Service groups
• Ensure that manufacturer’s representatives are utilizing proper channels when communicating opportunities by encouraging two-way communication

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Minimum of 5 years sales experience with proven leadership and personnel management experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with Lighting or Electrical manufacturing industry is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
• Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• High level of financial and business knowledge

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position requires a flexible schedule and moderate travel out of state
