SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for assisting the store manager with the overall daily operations of the store with the prime purpose of increasing sales, gross margin, and overall profitability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the increase of store sales by developing and recommending marketing strategiesKnowledgeable in all product lines while maintaining and excellent vendor relationshipAssist with recommending, hires, trains, schedules, evaluates and directs all store personnelAssist with coaching and mentoring for professional developmentAdministers financial matters including collection and disbursement of funds, payroll, etc.Assist with offering customer service through counter sales, communicates directly with customers and national fleet accounts and directs inside and outside sales staff while building and maintaining key customer relationshipsMaintains valid driver’s licenseMust be able to lift in excess of 50 poundsNON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with preparing various reports for Regional ManagersMust maintain a clean and safe work environmentForklift certificationAssist with adequate inventory levels are being maintainedAssist with physical inventoriesPerform other assigned tasks/responsibilities as neededEXPERIENCE: Minimum of one to two years of related work experience is preferredSKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent oral and written communication skillsIntermediate mathematical skills; the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to read, analyze, interpret, and write general business correspondence, reports, regulations and instructionsAbility to lift in excess of 50 poundsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the primary duties of this job. The work is active. Typically the associate will lift, pick, pull, and stock heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50 lbs. The associate will be required to stand for long periods of time and will be required to operate a forklift. Also the associate will also have to do the following throughout the day: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and climbing.
