General Description
The Sales Analyst optimizes promotional and operational efforts through data collection and analysis to evaluate existing and potential clients, markets, products and business opportunities. This is a data-driven role that works closely with the sales team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Research and evaluate economic competitor market, industry and customer growth trends and conditions.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate monthly and annual sales goals, quotas, and forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain electronic systems to track and predict seasonal demand, industry shifts and customer purchasing changes.
  • Develop promotional activities, consumption trends, advertising campaigns and marketing changes to prices.
  • Regularly review sales performance data against commercial data systems.
  • Monitor RFP opportunities and coordinate pricing with sales representatives and SVP of sales.
  • Work directly with compliance department on customer forms, data sheets, certificates of compliance and testing documents; manage schedule for obtaining updates of compliance priorities.
  • Collaborate with sales account managers and/or VP of sales to address content issues as needed and provide assistance with managing product life-cycle.
  • Responsible for coordinating communication between internal team and sales representatives.
  • Possess the ability to assist with customer specific portals and electronic customer communication.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge specific to customer specifications and requirement for product information (photography, product, and copy specifications)
  • Additional tasks as required by SVP of Sales.

Knowledge of:
  • Data analysis, assessing data sets and identifying patterns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Children's Factory Product Line.
  • Financial forecasting
Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively use sales data and market trends to develop forecasts and projections.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to make strong connections and partnerships with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and complete projects in a timely manner.
Selection Guidelines
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in business, math, accounting or related with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office with understanding of analytical tools such as Excel or equivalent. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Experience in a strong ecommerce environment, a plus.

  • Ability to access all areas of the facility to perform essentials functions of the position.
