Resident Project Representative

This position is responsible for the observation of construction projects while performing the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtains measurements and progress information and thoroughly details information in a daily report log
  • Serves as the onsite representative for Moore Engineering projects
  • Answers inquiries and complaints from residents and clients in a courteous and professional manor
  • Coordinates on-site testing, when needed
  • Inspects materials prior to installation
  • Becomes thoroughly familiar with the plans and specifications for the construction project(s) assigned
  • Points out potential problems to the Construction Project Manager
  • Reads and interprets construction plans, blueprints, and maps
  • Follows specific instructions on an independent basis
  • Interprets and complies with company mandated safety policies
  • Completes job specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three years of experience in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of the Standard Specifications for sewer, water, and road construction, as well as their application
  • General knowledge of the construction industry
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable
  • Ability to perform physical work (i.e. strenuous walking, lifting 50+ pounds, catching basin grates and manhole covers, hauling equipment, etc.)
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work the same hours as the contractor, up to 16 hours per day when indicated
