Position Title: Fleet Sales Manager
Reporting To: Director of Wholesale & Fleet
Location: Southern New Hampshire & Massachusetts
Primary Purpose
The Fleet Sales Manager (FSM) is responsible for growing VIP’s sales and profits by acquiring and maintaining automotive fleet accounts and helping to build relationships between Fleet customers and their respective servicing VIP locations.
Beginning with an assigned territory supported by targeted VIP locations, the Fleet Sales Manager will play a critical role in the growth of these markets as well as in the development of VIP’s overall fleet program. Building and maintaining relationships with customers is key to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Responsibility #1: Develop target markets
The FSM will identify, target, and profitably develop automotive fleet accounts within assigned markets. Leads must be regularly generated, steadily targeted, and analyzed consistently to ensure sales growth. Individual account performance will be analyzed regularly in order to correct loss of revenue through proper outreach and dependable service. Sales communication will be reviewed daily by the team in order to improve our process and customer outcomes.
Measurement: Performance will be measured against monthly target sales goals.
Responsibility #2: Conduct prospect and customer sales visits
The FSM will conduct scheduled in-person sales visits in the assigned territory; effectively presenting VIP’s fleet service program offerings and company values. Regular, reliable, and effective relationship-building visits at our customer’s place of business are a crucial aspect to success in this role. Sales visits will be logged and properly communicated for action and follow-up. Fleet team will regularly review communications and account performance in order to improve our process and customer outcomes.
Measurement: Number of sales calls made and reported on a weekly basis.
Responsibility #3: Ensure excellent service levels & responsiveness
In coordination with the Director of Wholesale & Fleet, the FSM works with VIP Managers and District Managers to ensure customer needs are being met. Activities include following up and coordinating and communicating customer requests and concerns to appropriate VIP personnel. Frequent logging of communications and follow-up is essential.
Measurement: Fleet Customer Satisfaction and effectiveness of problem resolution, as judged by Director of Wholesale & Fleet during fleet customer visits.
Responsibility #4: Become expert in Fleet market (Customers, Key Drivers, Market Potential)
The FSM is responsible for reviewing fleet service spending, vehicle conditions, and service needs with the fleet team and fleet customers on a regular basis, evaluating trends and identifying opportunities for growth. Intricate knowledge of the customer’s fleet makeup and their specific needs will be essential for creating an excellent customer experience and improving service levels.
Measurement: Sales growth, customer acquisition, and being the go-to Fleet resource within VIP.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Automotive Fleet business
Minimum 2 years in a direct selling role within the automotive industry
Experience in a hands-on mechanical position or store operations leadership role preferred
Fluent in use of software for tracking sales activities and making presentations to customers
Experienced at presenting to large groups
LOCAL TRAVEL & OCCASIONAL OVERNIGHTS REQUIRED: Est. 70% +/- travel, as necessary
Compensation
Negotiable, based on current position, background and experience. Includes monthly bonus opportunity T.B.D. as activity tracking and objectives are established.
