Position Summary:
We seek a highly motivated and dedicated individual to lead discussions with bio pharma clients as part of our Pharma Assay Services (PAS) team. PAS is ACD's CRO business providing tissue-based RNAscope ISH assay and image analysis services to hundreds of biotech and biopharma researchers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Our clients are decision-maker/scientists leading research programs in all areas of therapeutic development. The PAS Scientific Leader will be scientifically and technically knowledgeable, and able to lead discussions with clients to design high-value research studies that will make a meaningful contribution to client programs. Your responsibilities will include understanding client study objectives, guiding clients on RNAscope applications, drafting study plans and pricing. You will work closely with biotech and biopharma scientists and investigators working in a wide range of therapeutic research areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a technical and scientific resource to ACD biopharma clients in research project discussions with ACD’s RNAscope ISH assay technology
- Lead and provide technical and scientific guidance in client discussion to design research project; understand project goals and convey ACD’s the utility and value of assay services to support client research.
- Design research study plans; prepare statements of work (SOW), and pricing for PAS RNAscope ISH projects.
- Manage contract service pipeline
- Perform contract service business analytics and support strategic initiatives to expand business and sales growth.
- Oral and written skills a must
Education and Experience:
- B.S. in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related field with at least 5 years of laboratory experience, PhD preferred
- 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
- Customer-facing experience including scientific sales or field application scientist experience is preferred.
