The Technical Sales and Support - Parts provides high-level business development, sales support, and product application support for the SVS/CNS product portfolio within the Metso Distribution Sales organization. The position works closely with the regional Distributor Managers to develop and implement proactive action plans and initiatives to drive sales growth of MSE products within the specified area of responsibility.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clear focus on SVS/CNS growth via proactive actions and initiatives
- Use Gap Analysis to identify local market opportunities and work with the Distributor Managers (DM) and Distributors to develop market initiatives/campaigns
- Assist the DM in the development and implementation of the SVS/CNS portion of the Distributor Business Plans and associated action plans
- Perform analysis and assist in the development of the Market Opportunity Analysis (MOA) for selected Distributors in the assigned region
- Assist in the Inventory Review process and compliance with the DOM Inventory guidelines
- Serve as sales support for product application, issues, and claims
- Provide product selection and product configuration support
- Enhance Distributors and end users knowledge of products via regular product updates and sales support
- Provide competency development by conducting product training programs
- Conduct Market Price collection and market analysis regarding competitive activity, market changes, and pricing trends, for related MSE products
- Provide support and coordination on complex SVS/CNS product quotations
- Assist in developing and implementing market product strategies for the SVS/CNS products together with MA sales management
- Establish and maintain a good Metso company image within the team by providing exceptional customer service, a professional business management attitude and up-to-date product knowledge
- Provide regular reports, updates, and feedback (Market intelligence) regarding activities, projects, and pricing for the various products
- Assist with the supervision, training, and execution of onsite installation, inspection and troubleshooting activities as required to increase the competency of our Distribution organization
- Travel with Distributor Manager (as assigned) and Distribution field sales resources to support selling efforts, target accounts, and monitor distribution resource competencies and end-user satisfaction
- Provide a monthly narrative
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in ·technical discipline preferred
- 5+ years' field experience in field sales or technical sales role
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50%
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects/tasks at the same time
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with MSE product range is a plus
- Industry experience and knowledge of mining equipment and aggregates is a plus
